Promoters Background

ETC Hindi and ETC Channel Punjabi under the umbrella of ETC Networks Ltd, were promoted by Mr. Jagjit Singh Kohli, Mr. Yogesh Radhakrishnan and Mr. Yogesh Shah who are the pioneers of Indian cable television industry.

Mr. Jagjit Singh Kohli, founder director of ETC Channels, is currently the Executive Director in the company. He is an Engineer having more than 15 years of experience in Cable TV Industry. He has been the master of unmatched entrepreneur skills. Along with his two other partners, he was one of the first persons to start the concept of MATV and CATV systems in India.

Mr. Yogesh Shah, one of the former directors of ETC Channel, is a veteran with more then 14 years of experience in Cable TV industry. Mr. Shah did his graduation in science stream and having sharp business acumen had significant role in implementing the concept of MATV and CATV systems.

Mr. Yogesh Radhakrishnan, one of the former directors of ETC Channel, has over 17 years of experience in Cable TV industry. A science graduate Mr. Radhakrishnan is the youngest. A visionary, he is one of the first to start the concept of MATV and CATV systems in India way back in the year 1985.

Board Members

During February 2002, The Founder Promoters of ETC Networks Ltd. entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Zee Telefilms Ltd. (ZTL) to divest their controlling stake in ETC in favour of ZTL .

Pursuant to the MOU ETC made a preferential issue of equity to ZTL. ZTL made an open offer to the public shareholders to acquire further shares in terms of Securities & Exchange Board of India Regulations. AS a result of this ZTL now holds more than 55% of paid up share capital of ETC and ETC has become a subsidiary of ZTL.
Zee Telefilms Ltd. (ZTL) belongs to Essel Group of Companies promoted by Mr. Subhash Chandra. It is the Largest Indian Integrated Media Conglomerate, with businesses spanning broadcasting, distribution, television programming, movie production, Media specific Educational center and Movie Muliplexes for the Indian and overseas markets, inter-alia, and operates a bouquet of 17 satellite television channels.
